This event is for members of NAAAP CO, as part of our development series members will network and meet a special VIP Guest who will discuss their story and impact on the  AAPI Community. 

Our VIP, Annie Guo VanDan (she/her) is the Executive Director of Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network, where she works to create equitable spaces and opportunities for Asian American and Pacific Islanders. With an MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado Denver, she provides training and coaching on health equity, leadership, and inclusion related topics to community organizations, companies, and individuals. At the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, she provided consultation to the 1400+ staff and community partners about health equity and community engagement. She is a Colorado Family Leadership Training Institute graduate and facilitator, a training that promotes civic engagement and community leadership. 

 

Born in Taipei Taiwan, her family immigrated to Denver in 1988. Growing up in Denver and being involved in the community, she is passionate about serving diverse communities and working with youth. In 2006, alongside her mom, she co-founded Asian Avenue magazine, a monthly Denver publication that lifts up the stories of the Asian community. She received her bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri Columbia and is a Maynard 200 Fellow, a fellowship program for journalists of color.
